Abdominal Muscles frequently refer pain across the upper back in line with the upper attachment of the abdominal and across the lower back inline with the lower attachment. Yes I did say across the back. You may also experience pain in the abdominal muscle like some one has grabbed you stomach with a claw.

-Stitch in the side and a bit of a stiff low back. Latismus Dorsi. The Lat covers the whole of the side of your body from your arm pit to the top of your hip bone.

So you have been in agony for some time and you don't know what is wrong with you. The doctor has checked you out and can't find anything, have you considered a muscular injury and what have you done about it. Physio, Chiropractic haven't worked what next?  Dry needling may be your saviour with good stretching and strengthening program.

Diagnosis is a very important tool to getting your life back in order. And you need help to sort out what is wrong. Some people have a simple muscular issue and some are complex. Note that the longer you have had the injury the more complex the issue as you compensate for injury and overload something else and the spiral downwards commences until you end up doing the circuit many times with the same results.

Diseases are an important source of chronic pain and suffering.

Disease processes like Diabetes need to be well managed, and that is your responsibility because you are what you eat. Food intolerances and gut issues as well and their associated vitamin mineral deficiencies or not in that grouping. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies also give people chronic pain in joints and muscles.

Heart disease is another disease that presents with chronic pain mostly because of the Statin drugs that are used to control or reduce cholestrol. Google side effects of Statins if you are concerned and think that is giving you muscular problems, the list of side affects is well publicised.
